On Monday 19th October, we are delighted to be hosting a guided botanical painting workshop with renowned local botanical artist Katy McIntyre Brown of Katy Botanicals, here at Featherstone Flowers.

Spend a relaxed afternoon painting seasonal flowers under Katy’s expert guidance, with the majority of the workshop dedicated to developing your painting and creating your own finished piece.

We’ll begin with a short visit to the flower field, where you’ll explore some of the seasonal flowers in bloom and choose a small selection of stems to use as inspiration for your painting. Our horticultural team will be on hand to help you select varieties with interesting shapes, colours and details to capture.

We’ll then return to our floristry studio in the fifteenth-century Tithe Barn, where the main part of the afternoon will be spent painting. After coffee and homemade cake, Katy will introduce the session with some gentle warm-up sketches…
