Join us in the flower field this October for a hands-on session all about growing dahlias. We’ll explore our dahlia beds together, covering everything from variety selection and planting, to pinching, feeding, tuber storage and managing pests. You’ll learn when and how to harvest for the best vase life, and how to care for plants as the season draws to a close. There’ll be plenty of time for questions, as well as the opportunity to cut a selection of dahlias to take home. Weather permitting, the workshop is based mostly in the field, with a short welcome and wrap-up in the barn over tea, coffee and homemade cake. This workshop is ideal for anyone wanting to grow or improve their own dahlias, whether for the garden or the vase.
